Silo Art Locations in Victoria with Map
Silo art is the country's biggest outdoor gallery. Journey through regional Victoria and celebrate the stories of the regions which are told with giant works of art on wheat silos transformed by renowned Australian and international street artists. The Silo Art Trails have revitalised many small towns and brought thousands of new visitors to the region.
Internationally recognised street artists who have created these momentous murals include Matt Adnate, Geoffrey Carran, Drapl, Guido van Helten, Kaff-eine, Fintan Magee, David Lee Pereira, Rone, Smug, Julia Volchkova and The Zookeeper.
How many painted silos are there in Victoria?
There are currently 29 locations with silo murals (two have mobile silo art). Most of the silo art locations are in the Wimmera-Mallee region and North East Victoria. The murals can be found in tiny towns across Victoria and also a few larger regional towns. One silo mural can also be found on an old grain silo in Brunswick, a suburb of Melbourne.
Towns with silo art in the Wimmera-Mallee region are Albacutya, Arkona, Brim, Goroke, Horsham, Kaniva, Lascelles, Murtoa, Nullawil, Patchewollock, Rupanyup, Rosebery, Sea Lake, Sheep Hills, St Arnaud, Walpeup and Watchem.
Towns with silo art in the North East Victoria region are Devenish, Goorambat, St James and and Tungamah.
To the north there are silos in Colbinabbin, Rochester and Picola.
Other locations with painted silos are Avoca, Melbourne and Yarram.
There are also 27 locations with painted water towers/tanks across Regional Victoria and Melbourne area.
