Best Things to do With Kids in Werribee South
Werribee South is only a short drive southwest of Melbourne and has a wide range of activities for families. A magnet for families is Werribee Open Range Zoo which features African animals from the savannah as well as an Australian Journey trail. Nearby is Werribee Park with an historic mansion, sculpture walk, Victoria State Rose Garden and beautiful gardens and lawns. The K Road cliffs in this area are a spectacular sight and can reached by a short walk.
Heading further south is Wyndham Harbour where the Elements Coastal Activity Park mini golf course is located. The Wyndham Bay Trail (5km return) winds around the bay to Werribee South beach where there are two fun playgrounds, free public tennis courts, skate park and fishing jetty.
While on the way to these attractions make sure you consider the Point Cook Coastal Park including the Cheetham Wetlands Tower walk and the RAAF Museum (open Thursdays and Sundays).
