Taylors Lake Linear Park Playground, Taylors Lakes
The playground has been upgraded and now includes a tower with big spiral tunnel slide. There is a rope rope tunnel ladder which leads up the tower to the slide. A huge ramp leads to a rope horizontal tunnel which enters the tower part way up where there is also a fireman's pole.
Beside the tower is an area with a very popular double cone shaped rope climbing frame which rotates around. All the kids love it and there is plenty of chance for older kids and parents to participate by rotating it around. A soft spongy fall area is provided for those who find that centrifugal forces are their enemy rather than friend!
This area also has two in-ground trampolines, birds nest swing, standard swings, spinning disk, balance trail with beams and stumps, little climbing wall with frog holds and a curved slide on the side of the ramp.
Further to the east is a fantastic outdoor gym which includes a Ninja course, table tennis table, basketball court, small Hot Shots tennis court and a Snakes and Ladders game. There are many shelters with tables and BBQs, water taps and toilets.
The playground is next to the deep Taylors Lake retarding basin - so plenty of water birds including black swans but also an element of danger for young kids.
