Zumsteins - Fish Falls (Grampians National Park)
Located in the Grampians National Park, Fish Falls cascades 60 metres over terraced rocks into a pool below year round.
Water flows year-round, but the waterfall is best viewed after rains when there is a heavier flow and during spring for wildflowers.
Fish Falls are located downstream from MacKenzie Falls and Broken Falls.
The falls can be accessed via walking tracks from either the Zumsteins Picnic Area and Historical Site or from the MacKenzie Falls carpark.
The 4.6 kilometre return moderate-grade walk (water/rock crossings, slippery track surfaces) starts at Zumsteins Picnic Area and Historical Site car park and follows the MacKenzie River upstream, offering river views along deep gullies. Zumsteins Picnic Area is located on Mt Victory Road, Zumsteins
Alternatively start at the MacKenzie Falls car park. From the base of MacKenzie Falls, follow the track downstream along the MacKenzie River until you reach Fish Falls. The difficulty level is moderate (section of very steep steps). There are picnic facilities at the MacKenzie Falls carpark. The car park is located at Wartook Road, Zumsteins.
The nearest campground is Smiths Mill Campground which is 6.2 km from Zumsteins Park and Historical Site and 1.1 km from MacKenzie Falls carpark.
Access for Dogs:
Dogs are not allowed in the Grampians National Park except within vehicles on sealed roads and in sealed parking areas.
