Yarrabee Native Garden (Lara)
Yarrabee is Aboriginal for place of many gums. Our garden is a mixture of Australian native and exotics, with dry sunny spots and shady spots.
The garden covers 5 acres or 2.5 hectares and along with the many garden beds as well as a dam, a waterfall and three ponds.
Located just 20 minutes from Geelong it is well worth a visit from anyone who has an interest in gardening.
Discover the covered orchard which has over 38 fruit trees and houses strawberry beds along with loganberry, blackberry, raspberries and Inca berries.
You can even buy fresh/frozen berries or fruit when in season. They are great for jams or that smoothie on a hot day. If you're not into making jam come and try or buy one of our many homemade jams or relishes.
Opening Hours:
Yarrabee is open by appointment only. What this means is just give us a call to let us know when you wish to visit and more importantly making sure that we are home.
