Yarra River Walk (Warburton)

Yarra River Walk (Warburton)

The Yarra River Walk is a 6km circuit walk which loops on both sides of the Yarra River within the town limits of Warburton.

There are six bridges which cross the Yarra River within the town - Mayer bridge (western end), Swingbridge, Brisbane bridge, Bramich footbridge, Redwood bridge and Signs bridge (eastern end). It is possible to shorten the walk to your desired length by crossing at any of the bridges.

There are toilets at multiple locations - three places along the Warburton Highway and another at the southern end of the Bramich footbridge.

The dirt track is well defined and maintained but is a bit rough and has exposed tree roots in sections. The route is very attractive and interesting being set beside the river with plenty of tree ferns and when we visited in January there were lots of colourful orange flowers in bloom along the banks. There are plenty of picnic tables along the route and BBQ facilities.

Maps of the route are displayed on information boards located at a number of places along the walk.
