Yarra Park Dog Off Leash Area (Melbourne)

There is an off leash area east of the MCG stadium to Punt Road and down to Brunton Avenue. Parking can be difficult to find in this area but we managed to find some free one hour (between 7:30am - 11pm) parking spots along Wellington Parade South. This area near the parking (which is on-leash) has a water tap with bowl and bin. There is also another water tap with bowl near where Vale Street turns and becomes Vale Street South.
There is very limited signage showing which areas are off-leash and it can be a bit confusing with a lot of paths radiating across the area.

The off leash area is lovely with beautiful grassy areas dotted with lovely trees. If you prefer paths, there are also plenty of those. There are quite a lot of bins scattered about. Avoid this place whenever there is a sporting event being held at the MCG.
