Yalmy - Raymond Creek Falls

Yalmy - Raymond Creek Falls

The Raymond Creek falls plunge 20 metres onto jagged rocks below and then flows into a deep, clear pool in the Snowy River National Park.

The top of the falls are reached by a 1km return walk from the Raymond Creek Falls picnic area. The walk is suitable for most ages and fitness levels with some steep steps. It is another 300m to get to the bottom of the falls via 135 steps. Once you get to the bottom you will come across a sign 'Snowy Walk & Falls'. Follow the track right to the falls. There is a large swimming hole at the base of the falls and some smaller swimming holes at the top of the falls.

The camping ground is free with toilets, picnic tables and open fire BBQs. Visitors need to bring their own water as none is available on site.

Getting there:

Raymond Creek Falls is approximately 37km north-west of Orbost and can be reached all year round along Yalmy Road and Moresford Road. It is a long drive on a gravel road to get there but it is generally accepted that it is possible to reach in a 2WD (although one person did state that a 4WD is required).

Access for Dogs:

Dogs are not allowed.
