Enclosed area with a great wooden train with a carriage with four seats. Also a multi-level structure with pulleys and scoops to haul up woodchips - so fans of either Thomas the tank engine or Bob the Builder will be happy. Also a wooden structure with curved tunnel slide, elevated balance beam, spiral ladder, small slide, monkey bars, flying fox, two springers and four swings. Seats with shade. Dogs off leash area.
This site formed part of a rail loop line operating in the early 1860s between St Kilda and Brighton. In 1981, Prahran Council approached the State Government to acquire the grounds for public open space.
