Wilsons Hill Mine and Cyanide Works

Wilsons Hill Mine and Cyanide Works is a historic 1930s gold processing site. The site has four circular well-preserved concrete cyanide vats, a dam, raceway (the Wilson Hill Channel) and eight concrete pads for a water tank.
Close to the northern boundary of the reserve there is a scatter of brick and stone rubble which may indicate a house or battery site.
There are also weathered mullock heaps.
This site is part of the Wilsons Hill Nature Conservation Reserve split by the Wimmera Highway south-west of Marong. The Cyanide Works is located at the south-west end of the Conservation Reserve.
