Whitehorse Canoe Club (Melbourne)
Whitehorse Canoe Club is a whitewater touring club with a sense of adventure. We run trips on many local and interstate rivers. These trips vary from short beginner trips, to multi day expeditions on higher grade rivers.
Beginners and novice paddlers are catered for with a regular series of white water introductory trips on rivers such as the Yarra River, often lead by qualified Instructors. Heated pool rolling nights are also regularly run.
Whitehorse Canoe Club membership is open to anyone with an interest in Paddling. Members are from all walks of life and all ages, in fact anyone who wants to experience the natural beauty of Victorian rivers and/or the thrill of white water. Many club members are also active in other outdoor pursuits and activities such as mountain bike riding, skiing, hiking etc.
Membership provides you with:
- A Members booklet.
- Irregular newsletters and trip reports.
- Ability to hire club equipment at very nominal rates.
- River Guide Maps - Exclusively designed for WHCC.
- A Stylish Club Keyring.
- Access to the WHCC e-mail group service.
- Insurance via Australian Canoeing
Canoe Polo - Whitehorse has several teams in different grades in the Melbourne competition. Two seasons are played each year. The cost is about $100 per person, training is run regularly and playing equipment is available for hire.
