Westgate Concert Band (Braybrook)
Westgate Concert Band is a community symphonic wind ensemble comprising woodwind, brass and percussion. The band rehearses on Saturday 9am-12pm at Braybrook College.
The band was formed in 1979 by Derek Humphrey and Roy Hamilton to extend young musicians in Melbourne's west by providing opportunities to perform music at an advanced level. Now the band continues to boast a diverse membership and a strong sense of community.
As a concert band, Westgate offers its members the opportunity to perform challenging music in a range of styles. The band gives 3-4 major concerts a year.
