We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym (Somerville)

We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym is Australia's first indoor play centre which has been designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum.

The Gym includes:

Suspended equipment with swings for balance and vestibular treatment
Crash mats and crash pillows for fun, motor planning, and strength
Zip line for stress release and joint and body relaxation
Trampoline for building leg and core strength
Indoor play structure for climbing and increasing playground skills
Sensory-based toys for improved auditory processing and fine motor skills
Fine Motor and Arts and Crafts Area for improved hand-eye coordination

Programs include:
Open Play - With open play sessions, children 12 years and under have full use of the gym's equipment, arts and craft section and calming room. Sessions are for 2 hours each.

We Rock Care - Two levels of service are offered under We Rock Care: Break Time and One-to-One Attendant Care with a Disability Support Worker. NDIS funding can be used with We Rock Care options.

Break Time Care:

1:4 ratio with a We Rock the Spectrum Coach
Designed to provide respite for families and fun for kids
Children with special needs and typically developing children can access this service

One-to-One Attendant Care:

1:1 ratio with a highly trained disability support worker
Designed to provide respite for families with children with special needs
Suited to children who require a higher level of care
A great way to have your child work on therapy goals with a trained disability professional, in a fun space
