Waverley Softball Association (Wheelers Hill)
Waverley Softball Association has 8 affiliated clubs who enter teams in a summer competition across junior and senior age groups. Waverley offers competition standards to suit everyone, with t-ball for beginners, then primary softball with modified rules and two secondary school-aged divisions. There are 4 senior competition grades which means young adults, masters and elite Australian players can take the diamond in a leisure game or at the highest standard possible in Victoria.
The Waverley Softball Association grounds are at Jells Park in Wheelers Hill. There are 9 permanent diamonds, club rooms, canteen, amenities and batting cages. Waverley Softball Association is recognised for its junior development programs and offers players the opportunity to join representative teams to play in softball carnivals in Adelaide Canberra and other local and interstate events as well as to represent Waverley in state competitions. Each year the association hosts the Waverley Easter Carnival which attracts junior teams from around Australia and New Zealand for a 4-day competition.
