Waverley Park Lake Playground, Cavenagh Boulevard, Mulgrave
A fantastic play space which is fully fenced. The highlights are a tower with a big tunnel slide, huge sandpit with lots of sand play equipment under shade sails, dual flying foxes (one with a disk seat and the other with a harness seat) and a water play area with water pump and a winding path for water with sluice gates.
There is also a huge birds nest swing plus seven other swings including an expression swing where the child and carer sit opposite each other, wide shaded metal slide on the side of a mound, big thick rope seat which revolves around, medium sized tunnel slide, rope bridge, climbing area and a forest of poles.
There is a shelter with two tables, water tap and BBQs plus a shaded seating area. There are portable toilets at the moment and a grassy area outside the fence which is close to a lake.
There are more shelters, tables and BBQs outside the fenced area beside the lake. There are some outdoor gyms beside the lake.
Note: This area has some new roads and may not be in your GPS. Some addresses to search for are 22 Edgbaston Way or Cavenagh Boulevard or 89 Stadium Circuit in Mulgrave.
It is only a short walk to the excellent Multi-Sports Area which has a skate park, large basketball court with netball ring on the side, outdoor gym, two table tennis tables, large climbing wall and grassy area with metal soccer goals.
