Waterways Lake Outdoor Gym (Waterways)
A 1.85km circuit around the lovely lake with single items of gym equipment at regular intervals.
The equipment includes:
- Stepping Pods for quadriceps and gluteals
- Combat Climber - climb up one side of the net and then down the other for core muscle strength and co-ordination
- Monkey Bar - using the arms only, move forward along the ladder for biceps/triceps and back muscles
- Rock Wall - climb up one side and then down the other for core muscle strength and co-ordination
- Pole Climb - Using the arms only, pull yourself to the top and ring the bell for biceps and back muscles
- Sit-ups - With hands behind head and feet under the bar, raise and lower the trunk with knees bent for abdominal muscles
- Chin-up - Raise and lower the body using arms only - chin to bar level for biceps and back muscles
- Balance Walk - carefully walk along balance beam for balance improvement
