Where does the water come from?
Deep in the earth is a naturally occurring ancient formation called the Dilwyn Aquifer which holds the geothermal water. This natural basin captures rainwater as it seeps through the ground and dunes, trickling down through layers of rock, and eventually reaching the Dilwyn aquifer where it becomes naturally heated by the earth's core. This water rich with health restoring minerals and heat is then drawn back up to the surface, bringing with it a wealth of minerals and therapeutic benefits.

The Deep Blue harnesses the natural geothermal waters by a bore set vertically into the earth. The bore at the Deep Blue is considerably deep at 850 meters.

At the Deep Blue the earth's hot core heats the water and the subsequent pressure forces it naturally to the surface so there is no need for a pump. The water at the Deep Blue arrives at the surface at 46 degrees before being fed to the Bath House and each of the rockpools inside the Sanctuary.

THE PASSAGE 39 - 40 degrees
The pool itself is ingeniously shaped like a passage or corridor, allowing you to wander through its warm waters, surrounded by the magnificent spectacle of rock walls which seemingly rise with the trickling waters replenishing the basin below. The rock walls create a cocoon of tranquillity and privacy, shielding you from the outside world and immersing you in a serene and secluded environment.

REFLECTION BAY 37 - 38 degrees
The shallow depth allows you to comfortably recline, gazing up at a spectacle that unfolds above you. The pool's surface is masterfully crafted to reflect the ever-changing canvas of the sky. Whether it's the radiant hues of a sunrise, the vast expanse of a cloud-studded sky, or the stars of the night sky, the waters of the Reflection Bay mirror each nuance. As you lie back, you become one with the mirrored sky, embracing a sense of weightlessness and serenity.

TWILIGHT SESSIONS
Bathe in illuminated rock pools and enhanced sensory caves during an evening Twilight session. Twilight sessions are reserved for persons aged 16 and over.

RAINFOREST CAVE 37 - 38 degrees
As you step into our Rainforest pool, you'll be immediately captivated by the ambience of a hidden cave adorned with lush ferns has been inspired by the nearby Otway's. The cave's inviting aura provides a sense of seclusion. But the true marvel of Rainforest pool lies in it's steep rainforest shower. Nestled in the centre, this shower mimics the cascading waterfalls found in the Otway's rainforest. The water tumbles down with a gentle intensity, creating a natural massaging effect that lavishes your shoulders, neck, and back with tender care.

FOOT SPA 38 - 39 degrees
Providing a therapeutic touch to your feet, the warmth combined with massaging jets release tension and stress. As you soak your feet, your eyes are drawn to the magnificent waterfall that stands tall before you. Its majestic flow creates a rhythmic symphony, the sound of water descending into a clear pool below

COLD PLUNGE
The Cold plunge pool is easily identified within the Sanctuary by its clear blue water, and when alternated with hot springs for a contrast therapy experience, you can amplify the therapeutic benefits of both practices. Cold plunge offers an immersive experience that enhances circulation, promotes immune system function, aids in muscle recovery, and contributes to overall relaxation and wellbeing.
