Warrawee Park Playground, DW Nichol Reserve, Drummond Street, Oakleigh
Next to the dead-centre of town - the cemetery that is. It's tempting to say this was a playground downgrade since I quite liked the old playground. In parts the playground has the feel of something Dad cobbled together in the garage and finished off with some leftover paint.
You can follow coloured lines along the paths to equipment which includes steps which lead to a very high steep metal slide, inclined walkway with climbing holds which lead to wide metal slide, birds nest swing, standard swings, large stand-on carousel and a mini panel with various educational and musical panels.
Shelter with seats, unshaded tables, BBQs, water tap, unshaded seats and limited grassy area. Close to road and cemetery - be afraid of which ever of these frightens you the most.
