    Review:

Visitors need to make a decision on the best time to visit. The most spectacular time, when rows of lavender are in bloom, is between mid November and early January. At this time of the year the entry fee is $10 per person with kids under 12 free. From February there is no admission fee but there is only a few rows of lavender maintained in bloom. The Warratina website clearly states how much lavender is in flower.

We found it quite a nice place to visit. Wander among the lavender plants and crush some lavender between your fingers to experience the intense aroma.

There is a tea room with indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and some very pleasant cottage gardens.

The tea room serves breakfast, lunch, drinks and some sweets such as homemade lavender scones, lavender honey ice-cream and lavender shortbread biscuits. The tea room has a range of lavender products for sale. Overall the prices were high.

The garden tables, which are reserved for patrons of the tea house, are made from old farm equipment. There is also a row of old farm machinery on display along the road.

Raspberries are also grown on site and were sold in 500g tubs.

There is a small nursery which sells lavender plants (2 inch pots were $5 and 5 inch pots were $12.50).
