Wandong - Pickett Walk
A 250m secluded track located beside the Wandong Railway Station with native plants and interpretative signage describing Wandong's railway history.
The path is named after local man, Frank Pickett, who came to Wandong with his young family in 1935. He served Wandong and its district as its station master for 21 years, which made him its longest serving station master. He played a role in every worthwhile activity in the local community, especially the school, the cricket club, the tennis club and the athletics carnivals and played the banjo in Wandong's , local dance band. He served the community with dedication, skill, knowledge and unfailing cheerfulness.
