Village Green Playground, Herringbone Crescent, Burwood East
There is a huge amphitheatre with a playground sitting atop the hill in one corner. Of course there is a brick kiln tower to celebrate the history of the area as a former brick quarry. There's a ladder on one side of tower to reach a big tunnel slide and another side has climbing holds to climb up the wall to ring a bell (a little scary). Inside the tower is an xylophone.
There's a rope obstacle climbing frame up the slope beside the slide, two swings, seesaw and spinning cone.
Note that the soft matting surface is super slippery when it's wet.
There's a shelter with large table, water tap and BBQs and in another corner are two shelters each with a table, two unshaded tables, BBQ and water tap. There are toilets in the nearby Brickworks shopping centre.
