Bacchus Marsh is the closest gliding facility to Melbourne. Thermals or wave, local soaring or cross country - it's all at Bacchus Marsh. VMFG is one of the largest and best equipped gliding clubs in Australia.

VMFG Gliding Club operates from the Bacchus Marsh airfield which is a 50 minute drive from Melbourne along the Western Highway. It is situated on the Bacchus Marsh-Geelong Road, about eight kilometres south of the Bacchus Marsh township. Bacchus Marsh is some 50 kilometres west of Melbourne, just off the Western Highway.
