Victoria Gardens Dog Off Leash Area (Prahran)
A beautiful park with lovely trees and sculptures including the Winged Victory statue and fountain. The sunken oval at the southern end is the only off-leash area in the park. Around the sunken oval, which is not a sports ground, are lots of seats and bins plus some water taps with bowl. A gate leads to the Lumley Children's playground.
Prahran's Victoria Gardens were opened to the public in 1885 by Lady Loch, wife of the Governor of Victoria. The gardens were laid out by William Sangster, a landscaper known for his work at Como House, Rippon Lea, and Daylesford Botanic Gardens.
