Verdant Park Playground, Verdant Crescent, Doncaster
What massive bird has built a nest atop this huge metal tower? You'll need to climb the curving steps in the tall tower and then climb a ladder to find out. If the bird returns, use one of the two fantastic twisting tunnel slides to get back down to safety and away from its talons and sharp beak.
The remainder of the playground has two flying foxes (with disk seats), birds nest swing, little see-saw, speak and listen system and rope bridge. The playground has a wonderful, colourful soft springy surface.
In one corner is a shelter with three tables, BBQs and water tap. There is some grassy area to play and a little outdoor gym with a station for sit-ups and a station for chest presses.
A path to the playground is located near the intersection of Verdant Crescent and Foliage Way (southern end) and there is also a path from Heritage Boulevard (where there is another nice playground)
