Vaughan - Glenluce Mineral Springs
Tucked away deep into the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park is Glenluce Mineral Springs - a scenic location ideal for birdwatching, picnicking and photography.
Alongside a water fountain that allows for you to try the water straight from the source, there is signage onsite detailing the history, usage and eventual discovery of the springs during the Australian gold rush period.
Facilities
There are picnic tables, seats and fireplace.
How To Get There
From the Vaughan Reserve, turn right back onto the road and continue for 2.5km to a T-junction with the Chewton and Drummond Roads. Take the right turn towards Drummond and turn right after 300 metres into a signposted track to Glenluce Reserve. Follow the track approximately 600 metres to the end of the track. The two mineral springs are situated just below the reserve.
Glenluce 1 is the nearest and Glenluce 2 is on the opposite bank of a fairly dry gully.
