Vantage Boulevard Playground, Craigieburn
A playground full of active things to do. Two huge metal sculptures of birds overlook the playground. The main structure has a series of hanging nests which can be reached by either rope ladders or a rope bridge leading from a structure with dual wave slides, metal slide, General Store shop front, tunnel, fireman's pole and various ladders.
Next to this is a series of four rocks of various sizes in a row with climbing holds - one of them is so massive that you need to think of the Eiger Mountain to gain some perspective.
Also a hexagonal frame with six swings (for the mathematically gifted), percussion poles (for the musically gifted), standard swings, a spinner which you sent around by your arms, horizontal bars, thick rope caterpillar traverse, circle on an angle which spins around, a swinging canoe ride, spinning carousel and a water play area.
The water play area has various sources of water including water mushrooms and a handwheel which allow water to flow down through gates which can be opened and closed.
There is a basketball court, a decent skatepark, big grassy areas, lovely oval with white picket fence, water tap, shelter with tables and BBQ. This is the type of playground you want in a new estate and the developer well and truly delivered.
