Traralgon - Gippsland Model Engineering Society Railway
The Gippsland Model Engineering Society operates the Newman Park Miniature Railway for the enjoyment of the Latrobe Valley residents and visitors. The Railway has 200 metres of 3.5 inch gauge track, and 1,100 metres of parkland 5" and 7.5 inch gauge track crossing three small bridges. Connecting tracks, sidings & steaming bays add another 500 metres of track. The facilities are improved as time and resources permit.
The Society operates an extensive 7.5 inch Gauge portable track which is available for separate hire.
Please note. As with other miniature railways - insurance, health and safety regulations require that all passengers MUST wear enclosed footwear. No bare feet, thongs, sandals or other open-toed footwear can be permitted on the trains.
Opening Hours:
Our Trains are run for the public, weather permitting, between 12:00pm and 4:00pm on the fourth Sunday of each month (February - November). Extra days are scheduled in November and December.
