The Top Family Activities and Playgrounds in the Hepburn Shire Region
The Hepburn Shire region is two and a half hours north-west of Melbourne and includes the towns of
Clunes,
Creswick,
Daylesford,
Hepburn Springs and
Trentham.
The area is famous for mineral springs that have been used for drinking and bathing since the 1860s. Highlights of the region include
Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm,
Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve and
Hepburn Regional Park.

The best
playgrounds in this region are:
Jubilee Lake Reserve Playground, Daylesford
Set next to the lake and a big undulating area. Structure has a nice flying fox, two wave slides of different heights, chain traverse, spring balance beam, chain bridge, fireman's pole, spiral ladder, monkey rungs and curved ladder. Swings. Unshaded table and near a cafe.
Ligar Street Reserve Playground, Clunes
A fully fenced playground beside Creswick Creek. The area contains a medium sized pyramid rope climbing frame, koala springer, spinning carousel for three kids, swings, standalone slide, horse springer and a structure with curved slide, fireman's pole, inclined climber with half circles, chain bridge, monkey bars and flying fox.
Shaded BBQ, unshaded table and seat. Limited grassy area leads to a fountain and another table.
Daylesford Community Park Playground, Daylesford
Playground with seven pieces of play equipment. They aren't the seven wonders of the world but they are good fun. There is a bird's nest swing, sit-on carousel, V-shaped climbing frame, standard swings, hillock with metal slides, medium sized pyramid rope climbing frame and a very unusual rodeo board which bounces and rotates as two people try and ride the wild rodeo bull. There is a grassy area, Skate Park, small Community Garden and toilets.
