The Hartwell Players (Ashwood)

The Hartwell Players is Melbourne's oldest performing community theatre.

Our mission is to produce a wide range of theatre, both for the enjoyment of the audience and to provide opportunities for those interested in getting involved, both on and off stage.

The Hartwell Players welcome new members in whatever capacity they would like to be involved, acting, technical work, publicity, set-building, you name it!

We produce 2-3 shows a year. These can vary from a Shakespeare to a modern drama to a comedy, pantomime or one act plays.

The Hartwell Players have received well over 100 nominations and awards for Acting, Production Value and Technical Merit from the Victorian Drama League, One Act Play Festivals and the Lyrebird Awards.
