Over time the farm has grown into a specialised facility for Special Needs adults and children to come and interact with all kinds of Australian native animals ranging from snakes, lizards, dingoes, kangaroos and of course the iconic koala. Unlike most sanctuaries you are given the opportunity to come up close and personal with the animals.
What You Will Experience - You will have a full personalised hands-on 1.5 hour tour. We keep our groups small so that all can enjoy the experience with our beautiful animals. Some of the animals you will meet are our freshwater crocodile Fluffy, wombats Boo and Wade and you will get to meet and cuddle a dingo.
Animals at the Funky Farm include Cleo-a 2.5 meter Cape York Carpet Python, Crikey-a 1m salt water crocodile, Bobcat-a Tasmanian Pademelon, Wade and Boo-common wombats, Kevin-a lace monitor (goanna), Princess Holly-a sheep, Genghis-a cockatoo, Abba-a miniature goat, Hamish-a Clydesdale horse, Alfie-a bearded dragon, Tootles-a sugar glider, Haim-a Highland steer, Fluffy-a crocodile, Jellybean-a blue and gold macaw, Ned and Kelly-Tamar Wallabies and Bonnie and Clyde-Rufous Bettongs. You can also meet Kevin who lives at the farm and works for Channel 7 doing the jockey interviews with his rider Chris. He was Prince of Penzance in the up and coming movie Ride like a Girl. From then he has become a household name within the racing industry.
