The Best Playgrounds in Clyde North
Clyde North currently has more than 30 playgrounds and with housing estates in the area battling each other to outdo each other, a trip to the suburb for a playground adventure will be rewarded.
Clyde North is also the location of Planetshakers Church but a ride down some of these massive slides are the real planet shakers!

Eliston District Park Playground
Address: Cnr Waterman Drive and Eliston Avenue, Clyde North
A massive tower with two huge twisting slides, playground areas for little and big kids, sandpit, picnic area, skate park, fitness stations, basketball half court, community garden, orchard and a big grassy lawn area. No toilets.
Orana Park Playground
Address: 1 Fresco Place, Clyde North
Bravery will be rewarded here. The highlight is the "Skywalk" - a massive and very high rope climbing net leads up to cubbies, a high rope net tunnel and a big curved tunnel slide. There are also elevated wooden cubbies with slides, large partly covered sandpit, in-ground trampolines, a variety of swings, lovely wooden animal and bird sculptures, striking "The Watering Spirit" water sculpture which collects rain in cups for the local birds to drink and bathe in, picnic facilities, outdoor gym, skate and scooter path, toilets and grassy area.
Grazing Way Playground
Address: Grazing Way, Clyde North
The highlight of the playground is a fantastic water play area based around a flowing stream of water which is most suited to younger kids. Also part from the water play area there is a climbing area with a big jumble of logs with a rope net, swings, huge expense of rope tunnels spread across the top of big soft mounds, concrete slide, log steppers, cup to sit in and spin around and birds nest swing. Shelters, BBQs, toilets, basketball half court and a large open grassy area on the side.
Fitzwilliam Circuit Playground
Address: Fitzwilliam Circuit, Clyde North
The highlight is a very high tower with two tunnel slides. Also two flying foxes with disk seats, basket swing, standard swings, see-saw, skateboard springer and some ride-em springers. At the top of the hill above the playground is a huge shelter with lots of tables, BBQs, more unshaded tables and a water tap. Across from here is a sports area with a combined basketball and soccer court plus a tennis court with net which is free for the public to use.
Berwick Waters Grand Prix Park Playground
Address: Skylark Boulevard, Clyde North
The main feature of the playground is a concrete racetrack which circles the area and has a start / finish line, section of bumps, a big banked turn and a tunnel section under a bridge. The track is not flat which will make it unsuitable for the youngest of riders.
There are some playground elements such as a tunnel slide, flying fox, swings and in ground trampolines. In the middle of the track is a shelter with tables, BBQ and water tap.
Circa Park Playground, Como Parade, Clyde North
Address: 20I Como Parade, Clyde North
A beautifully landscaped area with some very special play areas which complement the history of the local area. The variety and range of vegetation which has been planted is amazing - it's like being in a small botanical garden. The highlight is the Nardoo Rotunda Grotto shelter which has many beautifully detailed ceramics embedded into the surfaces of the structure. There are also beautiful iron work designs on the back of the seats in the park. At the bottom of the park is a grassy area with football / rugby goal posts. Play equipment includes an extensive modern climbing frame, little slide on the side of a mound, birds nest swing and spinning carousel. On one side is a huge dry, rocky creek bed with some bridges. If you search around the rocks throughout the playground it is possible to find ceramic animals.
Berwick Waters Playground
Address: 30 Waterbloom Avenue, Clyde North
A super cute playground with lots of single play elements surrounded by soft, colourful paths. One end which is suited to older kids has a flying fox with disk seat, three in-ground trampolines, big net traverse and some big soft mounds. Further across the playground is a big spinning cone climbing frame, twisting slide on the side of a mound, large unshaded sandpit with sand play table, cute sheep and sheepdog springers, see-saw, spinning flower and swings. To increase the cuteness factor are kangaroo seats and colourful metal seats scattered about. There are shaded and unshaded tables, water tap and big grassy areas. There is no BBQ or toilets. Next to a deep wetlands area but the immediate area near the playground is fenced off.
Blundy Boulevard Playground
Address: 23 Blundy Boulevard, Clyde North
A jumble of climbing nets or two climbing walls provide a route to the start of two lovely fast tunnel slides. The main structure has an area for younger kids with a small curved slide, shop front and steering wheel panel. Also a spinning cone climbing frame and four swings. Shelter with two tables, BBQ and water tap plus a big grassy area for play.
Brumich Way Playground
Address: 11 Brumich Way, Clyde North
A nicely landscaped area which has a big atom shaped rope climbing frame which leads to big tunnel slide. Around the base are two in-ground trampolines, birds nest swing, two standard swings, big spinning carousel, huge log stepper trail, sandpit with sand play structure in the middle, two large climbing walls and an outdoor gym. Shelter with two tables, BBQs and water tap. Plenty of unshaded seats and grassy areas.
Cascades On Clyde Park Playground
Address: 43 Frankland Street, Clyde North
Fully fenced except for a gap where a gate should logically be inserted. A big dome shaped rope climbing frame, set of climbing blocks with climbing holds, structure with slide, monkey bars and climbing wall, tic-tac-toe, bars to hit a clanger against, stand on spinner, cup which you sit in and spin around and four swings. There is a bike track around the playground with some soft mound bumps on part of the track.
Clydevale Avenue Playground
Address: 26 Clydevale Avenue, Clyde North
A fun and interesting playground with lots of grassy areas and lovely landscaping. The playground is centred around a big mound with three different slides to bring you back to terra firma. Scattered around the base of the mound is a nice sandpit with dinosaur bones hidden under the sand, swings and water hand pump where you can pump cascades of water down the slight gradient past some stepping stones.
The park also has an outdoor gym, cute wooden sculptures, shelter with seats, shaded tables, BBQ and water tap.
Paragon Drive Playground
Address: 5 Paragon Drive, Clyde North
The park has a playground, dual flying fox with disk seats, outdoor gym and skate park.
At the top of the hill is a high structure with two towers and a big tunnel slide at the higher end. There is the choice of a climbing wall, rope net or hooped ladder to get to the lower tower. From there, an inclined rope tunnel bridge to the taller tower which can also be reached by a tall climbing wall. There is another structure for younger kids with a wave slide, climbing wall, ladder, rope tunnel, hanging disks, rope tunnel, thick rope reverse and steppers. Also swings.
