Teesdale Turtle Bend Reserve South Playground, Bannockburn-Shelford Road, Teesdale
Part of a recreational complex with two playgrounds, skate park and BMX Track. Structure with wave slide, tunnel, shop front, rigid frame rope ladder, curved walkway, disks on a vertical pole, inclined climber bridge with circles, monkey bars and flying fox. Swings.
Unshaded tables, nice unshaded seats made from wooden planks and rocks, big grassy area (beside road) and a big wooden carving "Free Spirit" by Mark Trinham. 100m away are toilets, water tap and a magnificent turtle shaped rotunda. The design is inspired by the Eastern Snake-necked Turtle that lives in the Native Hut Creek.
