Tassells Cove Walk
A dog friendly 1.4km loop walk which starts and ends at the Tassells Cove dog friendly beach.
Tassells Cove beach is a dog off leash beach all year round. There are bins near the carpark but no water tap.
At the northern end of the beach is a headland with tall cliffs. When it is not high tide you can walk along the bottom of the cliff, climb over rocks and explore rockpools and small caves.
You will reach steep steps to a track (dog on-leash area) which takes you along the edge of the cliff top with magnificent views. Continue along a dirt path with small bridges back to Tassells Cove beach.
Directions - Unless you know the layout of the land, it can be tricky to find the way into the car park beside the beach. Just to the north of where the road goes under the canal, Bruce Road joins Marine Drive from the east. If you follow Bruce Road for a short distance, you'll see a road opposite Oban Road also called Marine Drive heading to the south. Take Marine Drive past some houses and it will lead down to the car park for Tassells beach.
