Tarwin Lower to Venus Bay Shared Pathway

Walk or cycle 5km between the townships of Tarwin Lower and Venus Bay on a compacted fine gravel pathway that follows the banks of the Tarwin River.

The Tarwin River meanders between the two townships and provides many points of interest. The Tarwin River is popular with fisherman who can often be viewed along its winding banks.

Review:

The path runs beside the road and for much of the route beside the Tarwin River. Most of the pathway is compacted gravel path with a small section of concrete.

There are a number of points with information panels. Near the half-way point is a shelter with table and near the Tarwin Lower end is an area with car parking, two unshaded tables, shelter with table, bins and a fishing platform. At the outskirts of Tarwin Lower is a massively long picnic table with BBQ and water tap.
