Tandivale Equestrian Centre (Warrandyte)
Tandivale was established in 1976 and is one of the longest running riding schools in Melbourne providing children and adult's group lessons, private lessons, birthday parties, trail rides, Sunday day programs and school holiday programs! We specialise in teaching beginner and novice riders and many hundreds of children and adults have learned to ride and care for horses at Tandivale over the years.
We are situated 28kms from the Melbourne CBD in Warrandyte on 18 acres with fully enclosed facilities including a floodlit dressage arena, showjumping arena, cross country jumps and safe trails through the beautiful Warrandyte State Park across the road.
Our horses and ponies are very quiet and most of them have been with us for many years. They are used to a variety of riders and we carefully match horse and rider according to ability.
Holiday Program
Our Holiday Program caters for all levels of experience for children aged 6 and above. No riding experience is required as riders will learn the basic skills they require to groom, saddle and ride their own pony for the day.
The Program runs from 9am till 4pm, and a BBQ lunch is provided for all riders. The day starts with a lesson in the morning, including basic control and games, a grooming competition after lunch (all children are awarded a ribbon) and a trail ride in the afternoon.

Birthday Parties
We host birthday parties on Saturday afternoons and weekdays. We can accommodate large or small groups, the price varies according to your requirements.
For very young groups or large groups of 10 or more, we'll give each child a pony ride and play unmounted games. With smaller groups we can allocate each of the children a pony - they will learn basic controls and play mounted and unmounted games. Each child is awarded a ribbon for their participation and we have a small gift for the birthday child!
We have basic kitchen facilities (microwave and fridge), as well as a BBQ, picnic tables and an undercover area with a fireplace available for your use.

Riders Without Horses Program
Tandivale Equestrian Centre is an affiliated club with Pony Club Association of Victoria, offering an extensive Riders Without Horses program. This means we can provide our students with a genuine pony club experience and opportunities for students to get further involved in PCAV activities - a benefit of being part of one of the largest youth organisations in Australia. This is a fantastic initiative designed to add value for our students and for those who one day get their own horse or pony, will enable an easy transition to pony club life.
