Sunvale Community Park Playground, Neil Street, Sunshine
A brilliant community park which is the sum of all its parts - a playground, water pump where water flows down a long curve concrete path, outdoor gym, skate park, shelter with tables and BBQs, water splash park, grassy area with cricket pitch, toilets, water taps, indigenous art, hidden gardens, lovely landscaping and performance stage under a huge shelter.
The main playground structure is a huge tower with a central rope tunnel leading up to the top. On the structure are various rope nets, ladders, birds nest, climbing wall, thick rope traverse, rope tunnel and metal slide. Around the base are four swings including one with a harness, xylophone and wooden music poles.
On the other side of the huge shelter is a big rope basket which revolves, basketball court and a fantastic water play area with six poles with water sprays. You control which sprays are active and when they spray by using a seesaw and pressing down on a wooden arm.
