Review:
The stand-out feature is a rocket which you climb up to reach the stars (well - not quite the stars but the top of a high, tightly twisting tunnel slide). There is also a jumping castle and a high three lane wave slide. Incorporated into the structure is a large Thomas the Tank Engine made from wood and metal drums, "Big Block zone" with huge soft Lego blocks, netted area with large soft balls, a lot of horizontal pipes (there is a lot of crawling along pipes in this Play Centre), obstacles and cockpit.
The Tiny Tots play zone for ages 0-4 is an open area near the tables and is quite limited in size and scope of equipment. It has a plastic structure with steps and a slide, cubby house, see-saw, few toys and a separate small slide.
The seating area has 14 small square tables which can be joined together as required. There is a "Party Zone" area for birthdays which is an area separated off from the rest of the Play Centre by a half height wall. It has tables and fun animal paintings on the back wall.
There were male, female and disabled toilets plus a baby change/feeding room which were clean. Top marks for having no extra rides/equipment which you need to pay for (my pet Play Centre hate).
At the moment the skylights are covered in mould. If some-one dares to get on the roof and give them a good clean, then that would make the place a bit brighter at the end where the structure is, although the large windows at the front make it bright enough in general.
The food was a touch on the expensive side and plastic spoons with a cup of coffee (that's a no-no in my book). There were so many signs plastered about saying don't do this and don't do that - I felt like a permanently scolded child.
