Springvale Community Hub Park Playground, Hillcrest Grove, Springvale
The Springvale Community Hub Park is a wonderful place for families to visit and has a playground, water play area (an area of rocks with water sprays), large basketball court with rings at each end, two table tennis tables, outdoor foosball table, landscaped gardens, toilets, artwork, war memorial, bandstand, grassy area and a cafe.
Springvale Library and Springvale City Hall are located in this precinct.
The central area of the playground has a climbing frame with an array of rope nets, ladder bridges and an all-important hammock. Rocky steps lead up to a mound with a short curved metal slide.
Across the path is a see-saw, two swings and big spinning carousel for all abilities. In a corner is a sandpit with lots of logs and rocks and with a mound of rocks with a water play area with chutes, one leading to a play table and the other leading to the sandpit.
There are lots of tables plus BBQs here. Metal music cylinders make interesting sounds when they are rotated. Stretching out away from the main playground area are stepper logs, balance beams, swings, birds nest swing, unshaded tables and BBQs. There is also an area under shady trees with toilets and water tap.
