Somers Koala Reserve (Somers)
The Somers Koala Reserve was originally a farmer's paddock and over the last 12 or so years dedicated volunteers have systematically revegetated the 17 acres with indigenous plants and Koala food trees (manna gum and swamp gum).

Review:
The area is pleasant enough to walk through but it is bounded by houses. There is a gravel walking track through the reserve which goes past a wetlands area. We went with high hopes of seeing a koala (after all, it is called a Koala Reserve) but ultimately left disappointed. I think you would have a better chance of seeing a koala at the nearby Coolarts Wetlands.
