Seville Water Play Park (Seville)

Seville Water Play Park is a former swimming pool which has been filled in and landscaped into a water play area with fountains spouting during the summer season. There is also an dry riverbed area of rocks (the augur for drawing up water is no longer there).

The water jets are activated every day between September to April.

There is a nice playground next to the Water Park area. There is a grassy area and toilets.

Review:

A lovely way to spend a hot summer afternoon having fun among the water sprays. The old Seville Pool was covered in to make a play area with water jets which periodically spout up in patterns at regular intervals. Our kids found it handy to wear swimming goggles. The kids had great fun chasing the latest jet and sitting on it.

At the end of the wet area is a dry rocky watercourse full of boulders and a "dam wall" with three large pipes for the kids to clamber through.

Most of the kids there were fairly young (less than 8 years old).

Around the water area are trees for shade (bring a blanket since the grass is fairly bare and the ground is hard), water taps, unshaded tables, grassy areas and toilets. The smartest parents brought a camping chair to sit on. Three shade roofs have now been added for additional shade.

The playground next to the pool is very nice. Across the road is a sloping grassy area with shelter, water tap, BBQ and unshaded tables and there are also similar facilities at the playground.
