Sandfield Reserve Playground, Sandfield Drive, Carrum Downs
Big and colourful playground in a nicely landscaped area. It is set amidst a huge grassy area - I haven't seen more open space than here except in Outer Mongolia - and who is desperate enough to venture to Ulan Bator in search of open space when there is so much available here? There are two areas beside each other, one with higher more challenging equipment. All the usual suspects (plus more) are here including swings, slides (including spiral), walkway, monkey bars, inclined climber, scrambling wall, flying fox, chain traverse, balance beam, ladders, springer, see-saw, chain climbing walls, tic-tac-toe and tunnel.
After the playground was constructed the two sections were both surrounded by a fence.
There is a basketball court, large tennis rebound wall, skatepark and fenced dog park next to the playground - and did I mention - acres of space.
Access for Dogs:
There is also a dog free roam area and a fenced dog park in the reserve.
