Sailors Falls
Sailors Falls can be viewed from the road but the falls can be dry and certain times of the year. There is a path with steps which leads down to the bottom of the falls which you can even walk under.
There are a number of walking tracks in this area.
How to get there: Sailors Falls is located about 5 km south of Daylesford on the Ballan-Daylesford Rd. It is near where Telegraph Road joins the Ballan-Daylesford Rd.
Review:
Above the falls is an area with two shelters (one table in each shelter), unshaded table, toilets and water tap with mineral water. There is a 100m steep walk down to the Falls viewpoint and there is a 480m or 1.4km Mineral Springs loop walk which incorporates a steep walk up the side of a hill. The track leads to Lake Daylesford (6.5km). There is a short walk down to the Sailor's Falls Mineral Spring (pump was not working)
When we visited in April there wasn't any water flowing over the rocky cliff. We revisited in January after a period of heavy rain and there was a small trickle running over the falls.
