RSPCA School Holiday Program (Burwood East)
Come along and meet our friendly farm animals and playful pets in our school holiday programs. Think horses, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and our ever-entertaining guinea pigs!
The range of programs include:
Ages 7 - 12 Years
Discovering Dogs
Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! Come and learn how to keep a dogs body and brain busy! Facts to learn, animals to meet and dog themed activities, such as baking dog biscuits and touring the adoption centre.
Focus on Farm Animals
Do you love farm animals as much as we do? Come and meet our beautiful calves April and Audrey. Give our baby goats a snack and help them learn that human kids can make great friends. Bake some cookies for our chookies and find out how the RSPCA helps farm animals in the community.
Fun and Games Day
Meet a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and farm animals. Play games, create animal themed art, bake for shelter animals and tour the Burwood East Animal Care facilities.
Horses and Ponies
Get involved in an exciting Horses and Ponies session! Groom Gus, our gorgeous Welsh Mountain Pony and meet Henry our Thoroughbred. Bonnie and Clyde the mini ponies are looking forward to meeting you. Find out about how the RSPCA helps horses, learn about caring for horses and much more horsey fun!

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs Day
Come and meet our gorgeous rabbits and guinea pigs and find all about what they need to be healthy and happy. Tour the RSPCA shelter and make some toys for our adoption animals. Honey Bun and friends look forward to seeing you!
RSPCA Day
Do you have a passion for helping animals? Do you want to find out all about the RSPCA and how we help lost, injured and unwanted pets. This is the day for you! Tour the facilities, meet our friendly pet and farm animals and hear about the best bits and the difficulties of working with animals.
Wacky Whiskers
Are you crazy about cats and bonkers about bunnies? How many whiskered animals can you think of? We have a variety of fluffy and furry animal friends to introduce you to and you can help us to make their stay at the RSPCA more fun.
Ages 7 - 14 Years
All Creatures Christmas
Bring your Christmas spirit to the RSPCA All Creatures Christmas sessions! Join us for some festive fun while helping make the season more jolly for shelter animals. Meet friendly pet animals and farm animals, find out all about the RSPCA and tour our animal care facilities. Let's make Christmas themed treats and gifts for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, goats and sheep under the care of the RSPCA during this busy time.
Amazing Animal Art & Photography
Lights, Camera, Animal Art! Come and be part of our Animal Art holiday session focusing on animal photography. Learn and practice photography skills and complete photography challenges along with other animal art and craft opportunities. *Please bring your own digital camera or another digital photo taking device along with data cord.
Treats and Toys
Animals get bored on school holidays too! You can help all kinds of pets and farm animals by creating fun and delicious games and goodies for them. Let's bake treats and make toys and meets lots of friends at the RSPCA.

Animal Carers
Is looking after animals your idea of a perfect job? Come and find out about the good, the bad and the smelly bits of working at the RSPCA.
Behind the Scenes
Learn all about how the RSPCA helps all creatures great and small. Get up close and personal with our pets and farm animals, meet an Inspector and take a special tour of the RSPCA shelter.
Dog Day
Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! Come and learn how to keep a dogs brain and body busy! Lots of facts to learn, animals to meet and dog themed activities, such as baking dog biscuits and touring the adoption centre.
First Aid for Pets
Come along to learn how to use basic first aid techniques to help injured animals and protect your pets. See the work of a vets and nurses at the RSPCA and find out how to become a responsible and safe rescuer. Be quick, places are limited!
Ages 14 - 18 Years
Animal Attendant Day
Is looking after animals, all day, everyday your idea of an ideal job? For an Animal Attendant it is! Come and see how our Animal Attendants provide for the animals at the RSPCA.
Ages 15 - 18 Years
Vet Day
Are you interested in working with animals in the future? Take a backstage look at at the work of vets at the RSPCA. Learn about assessing a dog's health and temperament and spend some quality time with our education animals.
