Stud Park Playground, Fulham Road, Rowville
This used to be called Rowville adventure playground with lots of fun and interesting elements but an "upgrade" has given the adventure part the feel of a 95 year old Harrison Ford starring as Indiana Jones. So much so that is now named a rather bland 'Stud Park' playground.
Within the fenced area with safety gates is a playground with a loose farm theme which reflects Rowville's farming heritage. The main play structure with a water tank sitting on top, farm shopfront and chicken house motifs give a nod to farm life. There are two towers connected by a rope net bridge, medium sized curved tunnel slide, climbing wall, climbing cube with spiders web climbing frame, hanging disks, rope net roof and ladders, another rope bridge, tunnel, rope net ladder and small metal slide.
Scattered around the rest of the playground area are a sheep springer, pig springer and frame of a farm truck with two steering wheels.
Also four swings, including one harness seat, birds nest swing, all-abilities spinning carousel, in-ground accessible trampoline, standalone curved monkey bars, small oval concrete path for young trike/scooter riders and sandpit with sand play table and water hand-pump with wooden log channel leading into the sandpit.
There are some 'let's chat' boards to help everyone communicate at the playground and good all-abilities access to all equipment via soft surfaces or artificial grass.
There are two shelters, each with a table, BBQs and water tap within the fenced area. Outside the fence is a beautiful ceramic fish water tap and toilets.
On the hill above the fenced area is a flying fox with disk seat, four swings, log stump with frill neck lizard carving, path with lots of tiles with flora and fauna carvings. This path leads up to a football oval.
A ramp and steps lead down to a fitness area with a running track around a basketball court, beep test (I don't think this has been working for years), outdoor gym and shelter with three tables, water tap and grassy area.
