The playground is located on the west end of town at the junction of the Happy Valley Creek and the Barwidgee Creek.
There are some lowish structures under shade sails. The main structure has two slides, walkways, tic-tac-toe, shop front, bridges. There is also a structure for younger kids with a tunnel and slide.
Shelter with BBQs, shelter with tables, unshaded tables and water tap. There is a long creaky bridge across the creek (can have fun jumping up and down on the bridge).
The park also has a historic Log Tobacco Kiln which was built in 1957 and is typical of the kilns built during the 1930s to the early 1960s. Inside the kiln is an information board which covers the growing, harvesting, curing and processing of tobacco. In 2006 4 million kgs of tobacco was produced in this region. There is a loop circuit of 5.6km for cycling which passes by this point.

Swimming
Barwidgee Creek at the northern end of Rotary Park is a popular natural swimming spot along the Ovens River in Myrtleford. This area used to be known as Myrtle Creek - named after the myrtle trees growing there - and was once used by gold miners. These days it is a beautiful natural swimming area to relax and cool off in.
