Ronald E. Gray Reserve (Nunawading)
This 3.6 hectare neighbourhood park is known for its lovely display of wildflowers. It features bushland surrounded by historical stands of Monterey Pine, open space parkland, a playground, a wildflower preservation area and a BBQ area with tables.
Review:
The reserve is too small for a decent walk (it would be more like a stroll) but provides recreational facilities in the central part of the reserve. There is a decent playground with a shelter which has one picnic table made out of logs and a BBQ. Also a water tap and an open area with sloping ground with football posts at one end. The path along Springvale Road is quite noisy from the road noise.
There are plenty of chirping birds, information board about insects in the area, plenty of seats provided to sit and relax and some trees are labelled with their name. Their is a sign warning of snakes in summer.
