Robert Mactier VC Memorial Gardens Playground, Hogan Street, Tatura
A pleasant park dotted with a variety of trees. The main structure has a curved slide, steps, tunnel, rope bridge, wooden walk way, monkey bars, chain traverse, two steering wheels, little toddler slide, shop front and abacus. A parallel section has a tinny boat on springers and two swings.
There are shaded seats, four unshaded tables, water tap, bandstand, grassy areas, Shepparton painted cow and toilets nearby.
There is a lovely RSL monument with a special dedication statue to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the posthumous awarding of the Victoria Cross to Private Robert Mactier for conspicuous bravery at Mont St Quentin, France on 1st September, 1918.
