Pottery workshops include Wheel Throwing Workshop (2 hr), Handbuilding Workshop (2 hr), Paint Your Own Pottery and 6 Week Pottery Workshop.
Wheel Throwing Workshop (2 hr, Suitable for ages 16 years and over)
Come and try your hand at wheel throwing, learn techniques from an experienced potter that will get you started into the pottery world. This class is designed for the beginner, to show you how to centre the clay and make basic wheel thrown shapes. You will have plenty of time to practice on the wheel, making approximately 2 pottery pieces. This class is designed to be a quick introduction into pottery if you are interested you will be able to join our 6-week Beginner classes with confidence.
Handbuilding Workshop (2 hr, Suitable for ages 16 years and over)
The aim of this 2-hour class is to introduce you to basic hand building with the idea of being able to make pottery with no special equipment needed. You will practice three different hand building techniques and make approximately 2 pottery pieces. This class is designed to be a quick introduction into the pottery world.
Paint Your Own Pottery (1 hr, all ages welcome)
You don't need to be an artist to pick up a brush and paint a pot in our workshop! Fun for all ages, we cater for birthday parties, mother's groups, children, adults, aged care, disability groups, families - anyone can get creative with us. All you need to do is pick a pot, and get painting. Your piece will be ready for pick up two weeks after painting or postage can be arranged.
6 Week Pottery Workshop (2 hr lessons for 6 weeks, Suitable for ages 16 years and over)
You will really get your hands dirty with this class and learn the basics of pottery, from wedging clay to wheel throwing, hand building and glazing. This course is suited to the complete beginner with the aim to achieve the confidence to continue onto an advanced class or to continue on your pottery journey at home. You will have time to develop you own skills with well-informed experienced teachers ready to help. Gain ideas, friendships and knowledge through group learning.
