Red Rocks Beach (Phillip Island)
This sheltered sandy beach is popular with swimmers during the summer months. The relatively safe beach which is 250m long has deep, calm water against the beach at high tide and extensive reef flats exposed at low tide.
It is not patrolled by lifesavers. The beach area has a BBQ, toilets and shade.
Make sure you check out the iconic red-coloured rocks that gave this beach its name.
Fishing is best close inshore at high tide, otherwise off the reef flats at low tide. However, beware of tidal currents flowing parallel to the beach.
Access is from Red Rocks Road.
