R Penman Reserve Playground, Wilson Road, Blairgowrie
A well used playground because it is fenced and located just 50m from the Blairgowrie shopping strip. It was upgraded with the help of many locals and sponsors such as Bendigo Bank, Rye Lions Club, Hillview Quarries and Blairgowrie Pharmacy.
Colourful blue, soft surface sweeps across playground representing the sea. In the middle of the swirling blue waves is a wooden structure with slide, climbing wall, shopfront, ladder, fireman's pole, hanging disk traverse, balance beam, walkway and monkey rungs. Skimming over the waves is a speedboat on springs. There are three swings (one with harness), log steppers and a large concrete pipe painted with sea creatures.
Within the fenced area there is an unshaded table and some seats plus rock ledges to sit on. Outside the fence is a table and water tap.
